Job Description SummaryThis position is for an Evendale-based program / operations leader, supporting commercial sustainable technology demonstrators that advance the future of flight. The candidate will be responsible for program oversight of supplier-designed hardware within electrical, fuel, and oil systems, leveraging a team that is both domestic and global, and which is both GE-badged and non-GE badged. The candidate is expected to closely coordinate with the technical team leaders, managing priorities, deliverables, budget, and schedule.

Job Description

  • Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Own the operations rhythm for controls hardware, including schedule management, integration within the broader engine community, and coordination with technical leadership in setting team priorities. This ownership includes milestone tracking and communication; both internally and externally
    • Identify and own risks to project schedule and resource loading
    • Integrate with a multiple-disciplinary team which is both domestic and global, and both GE-badged and non-GE badged
    • Coordinate closely with supplier technical and project teams on schedule and priorities
    • Manage multiple program deliverables, including creating project schedules and managing to those schedules in close coordination with non-GE entities
    • Provide regular deliverable updates to leadership
    • Guide and mentor team members on good project management practices
    • Apply established project management skills utilizing lean tools
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Disciplinary Engineering and Science

    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects
    • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs
    • Established project management skills

    • Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams to ensure the task is completed on time
