Asthe Project Development Manager (PDM) for the Alumina and Specialties business, you will useyour recognized subject matter expertise to influence customers towardHoneywell solutions. You will provide both external and internal consultationsand will help Honeywell teams develop and maintain the right product messagingand value proposition, customer support, and training. You will drivecross-functional alignment to customer needs. You will participate in pursuitstrategy planning, and customer negotiations. You may consult prospective userson product capability. You will be a subject expert in product developmentprocess (NPI). You will develop the needed knowledge and skills within yourteam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customer-facing activities by working with Sales and having at least twice a year customer face to face meeting with the top 15 customers.  
  • Analyze and deliver growth opportunities via assisting sales in generating new customers opportunities and maximizing existing customer sales revenue. 
  • Work with R&D on customer quality issues, production issues and new business development for Aluminas and Specialty Products.
  • Work with ISC on production scheduling, quality and production issues.  Be interface so that Sales can focus on sales activities
  • Be the campion for quality at customer and Des Plaines for both the alumina products and custom/specialty catalysts, 
  • Develop strategic initiatives with sales to increase  customer revenue projects.
  • Work on NPI projects and take the lead with sales to develop new revenue.
  • Work with Sales on understanding and developing new  and improvements to existing Alumina and Custom Product offerings.  
  • Develop understanding of  Competitors offering/products, share of demand and technical capabilities. Do VOC with every customer during yearly meeting to gain competitive Knowledge
  • Coach on targeted product value propositions (External and Internal)
  • Analyze customer product development needs, deliver NPI ideas and be the owner of new NPI projects.
  • Support opportunity reviews and NPI offering activities.
  • Develop and champion best-in-class sales training
  • Coordinate Baton Rouge and Mobile R&D support of pursuits
  • Provide data and develop literature for sales collateral
  • Support business team  defining strategy to capture Share of Demand globally
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the Catalyst field, including material science knowledge, value proposition creation, product development experience    and general catalyst market knowledge.  Leverage existing knowledge of UOP customers. 
WE VALUE
  • Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships.  Become a go to at customers. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Catalyst technologies (Aluminas and Specialty products) and competitor platforms, products and technologies
  • Min 4 years of experience in technical writing and preparation of Sales proposals and long term supply Agreements. 
  • A strong negotiator both externally to support Sale with customer negotiations and internally to negotiate with Sales.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to achieve results through influence in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to travel up to 30 - 50 both domestically and internationally
  • Ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers
  • Min 3 Years experience in a Sales or Sales Technical Support role desired but not required.
