Key Responsibilities
- Drive, plan and direct all IT project activities to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters
- Analyse and review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, sourcing approach, delivery method, dependencies, procedures for accomplishing projects, negotiate staffing requirements to various project phases
- Cross-teams and cross–department collaboration with stakeholders to drive business and technology innovation to achieve business unit’s strategic plan and business objectives
- Provide thoughtful leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
- Responsible for on call support, as project required
- Attention to detail, and ability to organise and prioritize workload for the team
- Lead and apply Six Sigma LEAN practice with staff and department functions
- Drive and implement necessary standard and best practices for project management and ensure compliance
- Communicate and escalate risks and issues clearly and concisely and to support management with the preparation of action plans
- Proactively coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Requirements
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or related area
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in project management role. For an Assistant Project Manager minimum of 5 years of IT experience
- Proven experience in managing projects with ability to multitask and manage multiple small to medium projects in a cross-functional environment
- Detailed knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, application development management, infrastructure development management, vendor management, service transition and cutover planning
- Technical proficiency in hardware and system software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- Project management related certification such as PMP
- Proven experience in managing OPEX Cost/Budget management
- Project Manager need to have knowledge in Operation capabilities and IT Service Delivery functions that sustain and improve customer experience of IT Services
