Project Manager- MRO Transfer
Job Description:

The mission takes place in a context of transferring the MRO activity from Grand Prairie Facility to Mexicali facility Safran Electronics and Defense Afterspanet division.
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

2)tEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
-tDevelop comprehensive project plans that align with company goals and objectives.
-tManage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
-tProvide Weekly reports of the project progress. Delay, risk, Budget, Actions, etc..
-tOversee the execution of projects related to MRO transfer, ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with aviation industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA Part 145, IATA).
-tImplement and utilize project management tools to track progress, costs, and performance against the project plan.
-tAct as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, airlines, manufacturers, regulatory counterparts, and third-party logistics providers.
-tIdentify potential project risks, particularly those unique to the aviation industry (e.g., regulatory changes, Operation and supply chain disruptions, AOG, and/or geopolitical factors).
-tAssess and mitigate project risks; identify contingency plans.
-tLead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within aviation distribution centers, optimizing processes for inventory management, order fulfillment, and parts distribution.
-tImplement lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices to minimize waste and improve operational workflow.

-tOversee the development and implementation of distribution center operations, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.
-tLead and support initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainability within aviation distribution centers, such as reducing carbon footprint, waste management, and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
-tFoster a collaborative and productive working environment.
Job Requirements:

Job Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
Fully Aware of the FAA Part 145 basics
Experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement ideas
Understands and applies Quality and Safety standards consistently
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Office, Gantt projects and SAP
