Project Manager
50 per hour Negotiable
Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support one of our defence clients based in Cambridge. Working within their repair and maintenance function, you will be responsible for providing project support to engineering delivery leads in terms of planning, execution and monitoring of engineering deliverables. We’re ideally looking for a Project Manager or Planner with expertise in the aerospace or defence industries.
The role is being offered on a 6-month contract basis, with at least 2 days a week expected in the office. We’re ideally looking to pay around 50 per hour Umbrella inside IR35, but are open to negotiation for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Work with aircraft planners and liaison engineers to define change requests
- Planning and monitoring of resources to help engineering teams meet change request deadlines
- Tracking of key performance indicators in relation to agreed SLA’s
- Develop project plans for bid and project execution
- Monitor the performance of project plans in relation to KPI’s and adjust if necessary
- Monitoring of booking performance and utilisation
- Schedule, plan and manage resource demand on a monthly basis
- Give general support to project change management process management
- Attending production tier reviews to provide updates and report on escalations
Requirements
- Experience of planning or project management within a high level engineering environment.
- Desired experience of managing repairs, maintenance or spares processes within a high level engineering environment, ideally aerospace or defence
- Experience creating or responding to change requests within an engineering environment
- Used to working to SLA’s and KPI’s within a project environment
- Able to build a robust project plan with capacity to respond to demand changes
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
