GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Control Supervisor will support operations at the TSG Stennis facility.

DUTIES:

  • Expert in administering quality control processes and procedures and inspection methods in compliance with all applicable standards, technical data, DCMA Instruction 8210.1C/D and AS9110 requirements.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of department employees, while providing coaching, motivation, guidance, and training to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all new hires are trained in the Tyonek Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Support the companys internal quality goals and objectives.
  • Support the Quality Compliance Analyst in the execution of the sites audit schedule.
  • Serve as the organizations Part 145 repair station Chief Inspector.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, specifications, quality requirements and standards.
  • Certificated under Federal Aviation Regulation part 65 (Certification: Airmen Other Than Flight Crewmembers) desired.
  • Must be a FAA Certified, Authorized Mechanic, or previously qualified Primary Quality Control Specialist
  • Conduct evaluation, certification and follow-up audits on agreed repair stations and agreed subcontractors and vendors for work performed in support of ASW Processes.
  • Consolidate performance metrics for Quality Management Review.
  • Provide oversight for training regarding the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • Provide support for completion of quality audits and ensures appropriate corrective action is developed.
  • Work in conjunction with Site Director/Production Team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide Quality Control Supervision support for delegated Part 145 activities.
  • Responsible for conducting inspections of both completed and ongoing depot-level aircraft maintenance and modifications to aircraft. Must ensure compliance with all applicable standards, specifications and quality requirements/standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Fifteen (15) years experience in aircraft maintenance preferred.
  • A&P license required
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Preferred
  • DoD/Military Technical Training desired.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products to create, modify and update test and inspection documents, reports, charts, checklists and databases
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
