The Manager, Ramp Operations will support the Director of NOC & Ramp Operations by focusing on the strategic and operational aspects of ramp planning across the network. This role is critical in ensuring efficient resource allocation, optimizing aircraft handling, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations while driving operational excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective ramp planning to optimize aircraft parking areas and maximize the use of space.
- Ensure proper resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and gate assignments, to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with base teams and other departments to ensure seamless ramp operations and guest service excellence.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions for continuous improvement.
- Formulate aircraft parking plans and implement a standard parking configuration for the network.
- Determine aircraft parking capacities and methods to monitor volume.
- Support emergency and contingency planning efforts to maintain operational continuity.
- Work closely with the NOC to ensure real-time monitoring and coordination of ramp activities.
- Assist in resolving operational disruptions, delays, or unforeseen challenges that impact ramp planning and execution.
- Maintain strong communication channels between base leaders, frontline teams, and senior management.
- Provide operational reports and insights to enhance decision-making and planning efforts.
- Ensure adherence to Signature Aviations Safety Management System (SMS) and industry safety standards.
- Oversee ramp planning compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and enforce best practices to maintain a safe and secure ramp environment.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ramp planning efficiency and service delivery.
- Continuously assess and refine ramp planning processes to enhance overall operational performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop innovative solutions and implement best practices across the network.
- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving resource utilization, and optimizing workflow efficiencies.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- A bachelors degree in aviation, logistics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in aviation operations, ramp planning, or ground handling, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Strong knowledge of FBO operations, ramp management, and industry regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze data, make strategic decisions, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with time-sensitive responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel (50) as needed to support ramp operations across the network.
