At West Star Aviation, we thrive when our customers thrive. We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager, Landing Gear. Primary responsibilities include targeting component opportunities, identifying sales leads, and providing customers, Regional Sales Managers, Program Managers and Technical Sales Managers with analysis in preparation of routine to complex work packages. This position can be home based with a standard work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, plus additional hours as needed. This position is salary exempt and reports to the Director of Regional Sales.


 


What You’ll Do:


Collaborate with Business Development, Regional Sales Managers and Technical Sales Managers to achieve annual sales objectives.


Utilize Salesforce.com, AMSTAT, Corridor and other aviation databases to manage and identify sales opportunities.


Analyze our industry market, competition, service / product offerings and trends to develop strategies ensuring WSA alignment with the market findings.


Identify, evaluate and recommend marketing opportunities consistent with program objectives.


Prepare a schedule of customers to target by date of next maintenance event for each sales region.


Call upon customers to inquire about the status of their upcoming maintenance event and organize internal schedule of sales opportunities based upon the probability of capturing the opportunity.


Coordinate with Technical and Regional Sales Managers and Program Managers regarding specific components events in their region/program.


Provide customers with technical support, proposal terms and conditions plus other data related to customer inquiries.


Prepare sales presentations, contract reviews and proposals to ensure the successful outcome of transactions. This may be completed independently or in conjunction with other departments as needed.


Communicate with Contract Administrators to answer questions and provide additional input on RFQ’s to include reviewing quotes to ensure accuracy of technical data.


Conduct a routine cost analysis of completed jobs by doing an internal review of historical costs vs current proposals.


Routinely maintain and update a database of relative pricing for specific flat rate and time and material job tasks.


Monitor company conformance to original proposals and maintain continual review to ensure all work scope, terms and conditions are met.


Attend industry trade shows and vendor events as necessary to maintain existing and develop new relationships.

Job Requirements:

Who You Are:


· A customer-focused, team player known for delivering exceptional customer service and support to achieve company goals.


· 5+ years of sales experience with technical knowledge and a customer following within the business aviation MRO space.


· A skillful communicator capable of using multi-modes to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, diverse styles and positions.


· A professional who acts with diplomacy and tact to interact respectfully with diverse groups of people.


 


Required Qualifications:


· Aviation experience with knowledge of component repair & overhaul.


· Strong technical knowledge and customer following as demonstrated by a minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in a technical management or sales role.


· Must demonstrate strong communication, planning and customer service skills.


· Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce and other necessary software.


· Must be able to travel regularly in territory. Travel to customer events and industry trade shows is necessary from time to time.


· Must be able work a standard schedule and be capable of accomplishing the duties and sales goal even if working above and beyond standard.


· Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
