Position Summary

Position Summary Supporting Filtration Groups Industrial Filtration Platform, this role is responsible for national accounts while leading special sales and spaneting programs.  Also, responsible for directing account managers to maintain / increase sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts.  Accountable for motivating and offering on going direction to staff executing regional sales goals and sales plans.  Responsible for securing and maintaining direct sales and maintaining effective agreements.  Has accountability for strategic account development within region.  Actively supports the corporations Win Strategy. Assumes managerial role in territory personnel performance and development.  Proactively works with all divisional management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded.  Represents company at trade shows and other professional activities. Reports to Director of Sales.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

  • Ensures sales goals are achieved within the region. Effectively utilizes placement, motivation, training and development skills with the territory sales managers.  
  • Actively calls on key accounts and coaches territory managers to develop and maintain strong client relationships.  Exercises the same development for national accounts/business.
  • Ensures Parker products and services are meeting customer satisfaction levels and resolves conflict issues effectively and efficiently.  Is a practicing advocate of the Wins Strategy.  
  • Responsible for gathering, interpreting and disseminating spanet data provided by territory managers and company spaneting programs.  
  • Implements strategies to recognize new revenue and margin opportunities. Strategically manages the development and implementation of appropriate responses from competitors. Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the spanetplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.  Keeps management and territory managers aware of changes which would affect the distribution of Parker products.
  • Directs the development and maintenance of comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.  
  • Keeps staff developed with internal and external training and development.
  • Assist multiple groups and divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and service required.  Actively support cross-divisional and other group products with proper referral.

Qualifications

Qualifications - Bachelors degree required - Minimum of 12 years’ experience in OEM direct sales and/or industrial / distributor sales products and 1-3 years as first level manager preferred - Must be able to properly staff, train develop, coach and motivate staff.  - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with advanced PC skills.  Excellent conflict resolution skills a must.   - Must be able to travel overnight 50 to 70 of time; or as required. - Proper product and system certification preferred. - Must demonstrate ability to motivate and sustain sales growth in territory. - Must be able to cross group sell. - Must have proven track record of exceeds plus experience. - Demonstrated history of managing complex negotiations - Must be based remotely in or near Dallas, TX or Houston, TX.
