Are you our new Senior Vice President Technical?

 

As the Senior Vice President of Technical Operations, you will be the nominated person for continuing airworthiness for our Scandinavian AOC’s.

You will provide visionary leadership and take overall responsibility for all technical, engineering, and maintenance activities across Norwgian operations.

Your role is critical in ensuring the highest level of aircraft availability and operational excellence.

 You are our ideal candidate if:

  • You must hold a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, in-depth financial and business understanding including Leadership training must be documented.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior Technical Management role(s) within the Aviation industry with demonstrable experience of having delivered on multiple initiatives listed within the above job responsibilities.
  • You will be used to operating successfully at Executive Board Level (Konsernledelse), being able to present and lead complex technical initiatives.
  • You meet the requirements stated in EU 1321/2014, PART-CAMO.A.305 including AMC and are able to be accepted by the relevant CAA as a Nominated Person CAMO (NPCA).
  • You have extensive and documented experience of building and delivering Technical and operations strategy and tactics within an airline and MRO/maintenance environment, including team management and strategic leadership
  • You will be able to operate with credibility at all levels of the organisation, holding strong technical understanding with the ability to question and identify areas for improvement within all Technical disciplines, whilst taking a coaching and open approach to dealing with all your team.
  • You are proficient in the English language both written and verbal

 

 

 

 

 In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Leading one integrated, highly engaged, Technical function, ensuring the highest standards of leadership across Technical, covering both overhead areas and production, ensuring staff are motivated, competent and well developed.
  • Technical ownership of all aircraft fleet activity, including acquisition, delivery, redelivery, technical lease terms, and lessor technical management.
  • Developing and owning the maintenance strategy, including decisions on supply chain structure, insourcing/outsourcing, and leading contract negotiations together with the Procurement function.
  • Lead all Lean and Innovation activities within Technical; constantly looking for better ways of working and developing a pipeline of both Lean, process improvement and Technological initiatives.
  • Contribute to well-functioning cooperation and interfaces with other functions and areas of the organisation allowing for optimal planning and operations.
  • Participate together with team in internal and external audits.
