Senior Crew Scheduler

Job Description:

What the position is:
As a liaison between the crew schedulers and lead crew schedulers, the Senior Crew Scheduler will work with the Manager of Crew Scheduling, the Director of SOC, and their delegate to ensure operational stability, mitigate crew rest delays, and prevent operational disruptions. The Senior Crew Scheduler will also be responsible for providing real-time updates on crew capabilities and restraints and for providing on-the-job training to other crew schedulers.

Essential functions:

Enforce daily and cumulative limitations for pilots and flight attendants, including maximum flight time and flight duty period limits, as well as ensuring that rest requirements are met
Adjust affected crew schedules efficiently to ensure operational stability and monitor and correct any crew rest delays
Act as a liaison between the crew schedulers and lead crew schedulers, working with the Manager of Crew Scheduling, the Director of SOC, and their delegate to ensure operational stability, mitigate crew rest delays, and prevent operational disruptions
Provide real-time updates on crew capabilities and restraints and provide on-the-job training to other crew schedulers

General requirements & qualifications:

Thorough understanding of FAR 117/121 and the operational software used at CommuteAir, demonstrated through the successful completion of a written test and on-the-job training competency check
Ability to proactively find solutions to issues and enforce regulations
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Any other tasks as assigned by the Manager of Crew Scheduling or Director of SOC or their delegate
High school diploma or GED
Minimum age 21 years
Knowledge of airline and aviation terminology and /or aviation experience preferred
