Over the last 20 years we have grown massively to become the UK’s leading airline, fourth in Europe and tenth in the world with over 250 aircraft flying over 70 million passengers a year.  We’re also a digital company, last year there were over 168 million visits to our mobile app. Then it’s our people and passion which set us apart. Highly talented, forward-thinking people with a real sense of fun.  We are generation easyJet, joined together by our “Orange Spirit”.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated IT team that directly delivers value to the company’s bottom line. Our RMS is newly migrated to AWS and is at the very beginning of a programme of work driving full stack platform modernisation.

What you’ll be doing

We are seeking a skilled software developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our Revenue Management System (RMS) eco-system and associated desktop application. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our commercial Revenue and Trading teams to integrate new revenue-generating opportunities for easyJet. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality, cost-effective software solutions within the RMS eco-system, following easyJet standards and best practices. You will support the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring compliance with architectural and security standards. Familiarity with Agile software development practices, including Kanban/SCRUM, is essential. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly within the commercial Revenue Management teams, is crucial. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership within the team, guiding contractors and ensuring adherence to best practices. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations that align with easyJets strategy.

You should have hands-on experience with technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, Visual Studio, and Git Version Control Software (GitHub). Previous work in high transactional, high availability environments is essential along with familiarity with SDLC models, particularly Agile methods. You must demonstrate the ability to translate business requirements into technical implementations and have experience in Agile deployment frameworks with rapid iteration cycles. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for conducting feature demonstrations and occasional business workshops. Desirable qualifications include experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, a good understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns, proficiency in Web APIs and RESTful services (microservices), and testing expertise including Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD). Soft skills required include exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, analytical prowess with keen attention to detail, proactivity, strong time management and planning skills, and the ability to remain composed and focused under pressure in a dynamic work environment. If you are passionate about software development and eager to contribute to easyJet's success, we encourage you to apply.
