Job Summary

 

Under the supervision of the Sr. VP of Flight Operations, assists the Director of Operations in the following duties and responsibilities: Managing recruitment, initial and recurrent training, pilot currency/proficiency, and operating standards. Managing career path for the pilot workforce and training to ensure operating requirements are met. Assigning and scheduling pilots, tracking pilot status, conducting studies/analysis, and providing recommendations for improving methods, procedures, and equipment. Performs assigned supervisory activities including evaluation of pilot performance, approval of leave requests and work schedules, assignment of priorities, and assuring that the performance of the assigned pilots meets Company and FAA standards. Implement policies and procedures to ensure pilots are properly trained, qualified, and approved for the tasks assigned. May be delegated specific authority to determine if a crew member is qualified and/or proficient to perform required crew duties. Serve as a Company pilot subject expert. Interprets and implements GOM policies, FAA regulations, industry standards, and operational/maintenance manuals. Assists managing the safe operation of the fleet with respect to pilot performance. Plan and implement processes and strategies that lead to continuous improvements in overall safety, efficiency, punctuality, and profitability. As necessary, exercises Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Instructor Pilot duties.

 

Essential Tasks/Functions:

  • Manage company projects for Flight Operations as directed by the Sr. VP Flight Operations.
  • Responsible for oversight of scheduling pilot training, including but not limited to line pilots, instructors, check airman, or other CSI Aviation 135 partners.
  • Coordinate and maintain productive relationships with OpSpec A031 partners
  • Maintain productive relationships and communication with pilots, Chief Pilot, Director Operations, and key Company stakeholders.
  • Ensure flight operations policies and procedures are followed.
  • Periodically fly trips to observe flight operations and pilot procedures first-hand.
  • Recommend changes to aircraft operations and Standard Operating Procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Assist the Director of Safety on incident/accident, Incident Operational Report and ASAP investigation.
  • Maintain currency on at least one CSI aircraft type.
  • Promoting safety awareness and actively encourage open reporting and feedback.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of Sr VP Flight Operations.

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum Requirements:

Professional Licensure: Airline Transport Pilot, Multi-engine Airplane, FCC Operator
Background: Must pass DOT mandated Drug & Alcohol Test and background investigation

Experience: Prior Part 135 Pilot Experience. PIC: 1500 Hours Total Time, 800 Hours Multi-engine Time. Strong knowledge of FAA Regulations (FAR’s) including flight operations GOM, SOP, FOTM, SOTM under Part 135. Customer Service experience working with external customers.

Computer Skills: Aviation Digital Data Service, Jeppesen Direct, Foreflight, iPreflight

Identification: Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:  BS/BA
Experience:  Aviation Industry, Air Ambulance Transportation (including MEDEVAC/CASEVAC).
Personal: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and appearance.
