Senior Legal Counsel (F/M)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the Legal Affairs Commercial Operations and Finance Department (LX) based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team providing legal support to Digital, Procurement, Sales and Customer Services departments. As part of LX, you will be more specifically dedicated to the legal support to key procurement, services and digital  projects.

• Legal support to key procurement, services and digital matters: You will deliver legal, structuring and negotiation support to internal customers in liaison with other legal departments in Airbus, such as Competition law, Intellectual Property, Export Control, Litigation and other functions such as Digital, Finance, Engineering and Operations.

• Risk assessment and reporting: You will identify and evaluate contractual risks and will liaise with the relevant departments to launch and monitor the necessary corrective and mitigation actions. You will support proactively pre-contentious or contentious matters in coordination with the relevant department. You will supervise external legal counsels whenever required.

• Standard documents and policies: You will provide support to the simplification and the adaptation to standard documents, tools and processes related notably to digital and procurement matters to take into account the changing competitive, technological and legal environment. 

• Awareness sessions: You will provide training sessions to LX members and internal customers.

• UK law qualification is mandatory; French or New-York law qualification would be appreciated.

• At least 10 years’ relevant experience in an international context and in contract law,business law, IP/IT law. 

• Ability to work efficiently to meet demanding deadlines while ensuring that the risks for Airbus are identified, mitigated and limited

• Solid professional experience with a sound understanding of the business environment and constraints and the ability to think strategically.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and analytical skills.

• Language skills: high-level drafting and negotiation skills in English are mandatory / basic French language skills.

Salary range:

Salary range based on the required profile: 75 to 85K/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication. Salary depending on the candidate profile.
