We are seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to drive the execution of our data strategy, foster a strong data culture, and lead cross-functional teams in integrating and optimizing data systems. This role will be responsible for aligning data and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives with business goals, ensuring scalability, performance, and real-time data capabilities.
The ideal candidate will oversee systems integration, architecture, and product ownership for key data initiatives while enabling business intelligence and reporting through effective platform management, analytics processing, and KPI tracking. Additionally, they will lead project management efforts, including budget oversight, stakeholder collaboration, and change management to ensure the successful adoption of new data systems.
This position requires a strong foundation in data strategy execution, coaching and mentorship, and project delivery, with a focus on driving enterprise-wide impact through innovation, efficiency, and informed decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture a deep data culture through talent development and recruitment.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance team capabilities and performance.
- Align data and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives with business goals, priorities, and roadmaps.
- Oversee architecture integration and product ownership for key data initiatives.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and optimization of data environments and sources.
- Drive the development of real-time data pipelines and monitoring tools for enhanced data accessibility.
- Manage and configure data visualization platforms to enhance reporting and insights.
- Oversee analytics processing and deployment, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive improvements.
- Lead project implementation, ensuring on-time delivery and budget management.
- Oversee change management efforts, including training, communication, and adoption strategies for new data systems.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor Degree – Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Computer Science or related experience
- 5+ year progressive experience in data, CI and process improvement
- 3+ years in leadership roles/experience
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Data pipeline & ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) experience
- Database and warehousing systems
- BI Tools and reporting
- PM certifications, preferred
- Cloud certification, preferred
- Aviation related knowledge and experience/regulatory awareness, preferred
- Minimal travel ~10
