The Senior Manager, Core Technology Delivery and Performance has overall accountability for ensuring the delivery of the short-to-medium term portfolio within the Core Technology organization. This leader will oversee and direct the essential elements of the organization’s delivery function: the team’s overall project finances, roadmap planning & intake (portfolio management), the project and program management organization (delivery) and drive governance within the Core Technology organization.  This role will ensure the success of the team’s execution and ongoing performance to plan, and at maturity, it will become a strategic liaison across technology domains and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains overall responsibility for the Core Technology project financial tracking processes for operating and capital budgets in the Core Technology domain.
  • Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive, ongoing technology portfolio management strategy, ensuring alignment with the domain’s core objectives. 
  • Consults with the Core Technology leadership team to strategically influence project prioritization & planning, resolution of scope ambiguity, and management of overall risks.
  • Maintains overall project intake process into Core Technology to ensure efficient handling of project requests and alignment with other Domain Delivery and Performance leads.
  • Proactively engages with the IT Enterprise Services team, to ensure that all reporting (budget, portfolio, etc.) is delivered on-time, and in-line with agreed-to standards.
  • In collaboration with IT Enterprise Services and other Domain Delivery and Performance leads, design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) & metrics to track the progress and success of initiatives.
  • Ensures regular engagement with the PMO Governance team to ensure best practices are leveraged, and recommendations for process improvements are shared.
  • Identifies emerging risks and roadblocks in overall technology project delivery and budget within the Core Technology domain and takes proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Provides organizational leadership and support across a breadth of skillsets, while simultaneously growing talent and carefully managing succession planning for core competencies.

Qualifications

  • BA in Business, Marketing, Finance or Analytical discipline required.
  • Minimum of 8 years in technology, procurement, or business administration, with a strong comprehension of the core commercial and technological drivers in the airline industry
  • Relevant project execution experience, complemented by familiarity of project management methodologies and tools across different delivery frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial management, budgeting, and cost optimization for technology and procurement projects.
  • Maintains a curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, manage stakeholders, communicate succinctly, gain consensus and handle complex deliverables within and across organizations. 
  • Demonstrates initiative and self-directs work, with experience handling multiple time-critical and sensitive initiatives. 
  • Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills, with an orientation towards execution.
  • Possesses superior executive presentation, analytical and project management skills.
