Job Description SummaryThe Special Projects/Executive Protection Professional - Senior Professional Band (SPB) will be part of a dynamic, growing security team that will enable GE Aerospace to deliver exceptional security solutions worldwide. This role, which reports directly to the Chief Security Officer, will serve as the primary focal point for all executive protection matters. The successful candidate will be part of a team which provides physical protection to ensure the safety and security of designated corporate executives. This position requires a collaborative leader who demonstrates professionalism and discretion as well as the ability to operate within a highly confidential environment. Candidates must be comfortable interacting with individuals at the most most senior levels of the organization. Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as well as the ability to remain calm and proactive during difficult situations. Candidates must have international experience in location advances and personnel protection. Successful candidates will have the experience in investigative matters as well as the ability to regularly assess risks, vulnerabilities, and threats. In this role, you will:

  • Execute security and physical protection measures for high profile individuals in various environments to include corporate, residential, and public locations.
  • Conduct security advances and logistical support for events, venues, and travel activities.
  • Set a clear vision and strategy for protection activities.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentially with regards to any sensitive information pertaining to Principals, physical protection, and company information.
  • Foster an environment of trust and confidence through exemplary integrity, dedication, and professionalism.
  • Provide security/physical protection for corporate executives and others as assigned.
  • Be prepared for domestic and international travel on short notice to provide protection and/or conduct advances.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, think quickly, and respond effectively in a dynamic and every changing environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare thorough, well-written security assessments.
  • Enable daily security for executives in a dynamic global business.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with peers, functional partners, business Leaders, and state, federal, local, and international law enforcement.
  • Work with diverse global teams to develop and shape novel approaches to address physical and personal security.
  • Review and ensure personal protection security measures are compliant to with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Create and execute a security outreach and engagement program with other aerospace partners to benchmark personal protection.
  • Work on special projects as assigned, which may include internal investigations and crisis response triage.
  • Own financial budget and accountability.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to others.
  • Act with humility, lead with transparency, and deliver with focus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college Minimum 12 years of professional experience in personal protection and investigations Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance Availability to travel Desired Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to engage with diverse cross functional groups across both the aerospace industry and business.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels.
  • Demonstrate experience with crisis management.
  • Maintain excellent physical condition and first aid skills.
