Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

This role will be utilized to release and follow up on purchase orders. Working closely with engineering (EA) to execute EA project specific purchase orders. These project orders will benefit from this role connecting the EA team’s project schedule to the supplier’s delivery schedule.

• Responsible for EA Project purchases as well as purchases on non-project material to support tactical operations
• Understands EA project schedules and works closely with Material Planning and Engineering to ensure material is purchased in advance of need
• Follows up with suppliers on a regular basis and escalates areas of concern to management in both Purchasing and Material Planning
• Assists in setting up new work management systems. Specifically creating processes to better track and communicate changing project schedules
• Able to work exceptions and purchasing of material to support airline needs by considering timeline required and price
• Meets with suppliers to hold accountability to delivery and quality targets
