The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Senior Structures Test Operations Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This statement of work encompasses supporting the execution of structural testing for the Air Dominance, Phantom Works, and Weapons programs.
This role is responsible for structures test program planning and execution, staffing plans, lab excellence (safety, quality & productivity) and people development. In addition, includes managing lab indirect budgets and lab facility management.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Manage employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Structural Test and Evaluation Engineering. These activities include, but are not limited to, Test Conceptual Design, Test Detailed Design, Test Conduct, Manufacturing Engineering, and Instrumentation Design, Install & Checkout.
- Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Acquire resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manage, develop and motivate employees and first-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test
- 5+ years of experience in Structural Test Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with Test Program design, test procedure development, and test execution
- 5+ years of experience managing or leading the planning and execution of programs and projects
- 5+ years of experience in project cost management
- Experience developing financial Investment plans including capital, repair & maintenance and/or special project funding
- Experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- Awareness of processes and procedures for materials coupon testing
- Awareness of the instrumentation processes and procedures associated with structures testing
- 5+ years of experience leading integrated teams to perform complex structural and fatigue life testing on military aircraft
- 5+ years of experience managing complex schedules with multiple phases of structural testing
- 5+ years of experience planning for, building, and integrating large static test structures
- 5+ years of experience presenting test progress against cost and schedule to internal and external customers
- 5+ years of experience leading the estimation for cost and schedule of work effort associated with large complex structural tests

Summary pay range: $155,550 – $210,450
