Primary Objective of the Position:
The Shift Manager will assist in monitoring the Day and Overnight operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist to resolve day-to-day operational issues and prepare for contingencies in the event of mechanical or weather-related operational disruptions.
• Communicate any flight delays to customers during the overnight operation.
• Provide support and assistance to the Duty Manager during network operations.
• Complete various On-Time Performance reports and distribute to internal and external customers.
• Prepare the daily CPGOC Day and Night Pre-Operation report.
• Enter and audit customs submissions into CHAMPS/Descartes.
• Enter flight information including arrival times, departure times, delay times and proper delay codes into Kargomine.
• Auditing and entering CPGOC missed delivery scan times from out bases.
• Complete aircraft weight and balance and create flight manifest.
• Assist in the co-ordination of charter flights.
• Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Graduate Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years previous experience in an Operations Center.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to inquires and determine best course of action.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of Kargomine, ISO and Movement Control would be an asset.
