Shipping Team Lead positions paying $22.55 - $24.40/hr plus a $1 Shift differential for 6pm-6am shift.
6am - 6am & 6pm - 6am Available
For 12-hour shifts, it rotates days on and off, week 1 work 36 hours then week 2 work 48 hours (mandatory overtime can occur on top of this).
Kawneer is a large commercial window manufacturing company who supplies windows and aluminum to companies nationwide. As a member of the Kawneer Cranberry team, you could be assigned different tasks out on our plant floor to help us produce products for our different jobs.
These positions include working around or operating mobile equipment and overhead cranes or other large equipment. The work environment includes varying temperatures, personal protective equipment, and overtime requirements. Most positions include a high amount of repetitive lifting. This is a production floor position with some clerical responsibilities.
Production floor responsibilities include:
- Obtaining and maintaining heavy-equipment certifications for fork-lift, combi-lift, fixed-rail crane and walk-behind
- Conducting and leading Level 1 daily meetings to review previous shift activities as well as pertinent communications, ensuring L1 board and EHS documentation is current and communicating stop/high-risk task information to supervisor for Level 2 daily meeting,
- Being accountable and responsible for production goals, driving employee engagement to ensure production goals are met while observing safety and quality requirements
- Working with department area lead and clerk to ensure daily schedules are being followed
- Able to ensure the proper staging and loading of shipments without supervision
- Training new employees and cross-training current employees to ensure redundancy for all positions
- Backing up team members as needed
- Ensuring daily housekeeping tasks are completed
- Escalating issues through help chain as necessary
- Communicating with previous and next shift regarding status of shipments.
Clerical responsibilities include:
- Ensuring proper completion and filing of necessary documentation regarding daily inspections, high-risk tasks and outgoing shipments
- Working with area lead and clerk to maintain and organize documentation regarding outgoing shipments
- Using ERP software as necessary to process shipments

A basic proficiency with document, spreadsheet and ERP software, along with the ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email and in-person is desired. An ideal candidate should be able to diagnose and problem solve to address issues, escalating when necessary. All other duties as assigned.
