Job Description SummaryThe Shop Operational Cost Leader will be responsible for developing and executing Supply Chain’s shop operational cost reduction strategy through analysis of shop operational costs and development and execution of a cost strategy partnering across the enterprise to drive value. The strategy is to include developing and driving standards and operational rigor around cost control. Areas of operational costs include, but are not limited to indirect spend (tooling, facilities, etc.), resource efficiency, and people efficiency – both hourly and salaried including direct labor productivity, non-productive time, flexibility, capacity, and capability. This role will create a collaborative, cross-functional strategy and enablement plans to drive year over year cost reduction. It will require partnering with part family resources to identify and elevate opportunities, understand capability and capacity, and drive execution. It will also include partnering with various other enterprise teams to ensure we are building capabilities and methodologies for sustainment of cost focus.

Essential Responsibilities:

Analyze Supply Chain’s operational costs

Develop and execute a strategy that drives cost reduction to achieve a sustainable 5 YOY cost out, including an interconnected cost productivity approach across part family teams.

Use project management capability to work horizontally across Supply Chain, P&Ls, and other divisions to ensure alignment, communication, and integration of approach.

Drives standardization across Supply Chain.

Develop and implement a standardized methodology, propagating it for adoption across Supply Chain.

Develop the organizations capabilities around understanding and managing costs

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Project Management, or other relevant fields

May require travel up to 25 of the time

The salary range for this position is 141,300.00 - 235,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
