We are looking for an experienced communications manager for our Broughton site where we build the wings for the A320, A330 and A350 aircraft.
With over 5,000 people working onsite - and a significant production ramp up ahead of us - Broughton has many stories to tell and this is a great opportunity for someone with the creativity and vision to shape them.
You will work closely with the UK Head of Communications and key site stakeholders to shape and deliver impactful communications messaging, strategy and content that will engage the media and local stakeholders and drive employee engagement.
Ideally with a good understanding of manufacturing or technical topics, the Communications Manager will work closely with the external communications and internal communications teams to reach a wide range of audiences, as well as building strong relationships with the global communications team to ensure that Airbus’s global purpose to lead the path to sustainable aviation is translated into everything that we do.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Develops and delivers a site specific communication plan for Broughton site
Build and maintains a strong relationship with key business leads to ensure visibility and maximisation of site opportunities and activities
Creates key messages, written briefs and the development of supporting content e.g. photography and videos for use in internal, external and social communications channels
Facilitates onsite events and engagement activities, alongside relations with the local community and direct neighbours of the site
Monitors and evaluates impacts of key activities and projects
ABOUT YOU
Established experience in communications (internal, external, community relations)
Experience in communications planning, definition and execution
Excellent writing skills and content creation skills
Understanding of local UK media and ability to engage effectively with them
Understanding of community relations and ability to engage effectively with a wide range of neighbours
