Job Overview
The Group Lead, Field Service leads a team to ensure the high quality of customer service. The goal is to maximize customer commitment and the prosperity of business by producing results in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
- Leads a team of Field Service Representatives and essential personnel
- Leads the team in all matters pertaining to the daily maintenance and inspection.
- Leads CONUS M-Systems Field support for mission systems maintenance.
- Leads OCONUS deployment support.
- Advise on logistics and operation of advanced electronic/electro-optic (EO)/radar avionics systems and laser operation.
- Provide on-site/on-equipment engineering assistance and technical advice including troubleshooting, engineering analysis and interpretation of results to customer personnel.
- Assist with all aspects of equipment operations including installation, maintenance, operation techniques, adjustment, calibration, trouble shooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection and intermediate level repair.
- Provide advice in the identification of, and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment and test equipment associated with avionic systems.
- Provide advice and assistance on the use of and interpretation of Technical orders, Engineering Change Proposals and other related technical publications.
- Provide on-going surveillance of shop maintenance and safety practices, provide technical advice and recommend corrective measures necessary to ensure adequate maintenance and safety procedures are followed to minimize future problems.
- Interface with customer personnel at all levels.
- Provide liaison through which information related to maintenance and operational problems can be quickly disseminated up/down the chain of command.
- Purchase and expense pertinent site equipment
- Provide and maintain records of equipment, on site and provided to customer, as required by higher leadership
- Create daily, weekly, monthly summary reports as required by higher leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Completion of training requirements mandated by customer.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and block diagrams.
- Requires extensive experience with stated systems, preferably with AEVEX systems hardware in service with DoD agencies worldwide.
- Experience in troubleshooting, operation, modification and inspection methods relative to the installed systems is essential.
- Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring strong interpersonal and team building skills.
- Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills.
- Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring strong MS Suite skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Education / Certifications
- Highschool/GED minimum
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Masters Degree is a plus
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience (High School or GED)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience (Bachelors Degree)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience (Masters Degree)
- Experience leading teams
- Extensive experience in DoD applications
