About the role
As the Skywards Analytics Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of embedded data analysts to manage the delivery of analytical solutions & insights that empower decision-making, drive revenue, improve member engagement, member experience, and overall effectiveness of the Skywards loyalty program. The Skywards Analytics Manager will oversee the design, delivery, and maintenance of self-service assets, coordinate quarterly analytics demand delivery, and influence department-level decisions through the analytics working group. You will lead exploratory projects and champion the adoption of advanced analytics, including data science, machine learning, and test-and-learn methods in the context of loyalty.
What you will do
- Lead a team of data analysts to manage everyday analytics demand from a suite of functionally aligned portfolios.
- Design, deliver, maintain & enhance a suite of analytical assets comprising foundational reports, dashboards & capabilities promoting self-service in assigned portfolios.
- Design, deliver, maintain & enhance business-critical and cross-functional KPI reporting & related assets, including KPI governance and KPI (balanced) scorecards.
- Coordinate the sourcing, selection, prioritization, channelling & delivery of quarterly analytics, insights & data demand to internal & external delivery teams.
- Manage exploratory analytics & insights projects & initiatives working closely with internal and external resources and teams.
- Champion advanced analytics use-cases including those involving the use of data science models & test-and-learn methods. Translate business needs into data science briefs and lead discussions with central data science team.
- Represent Skywards at company analytics forums and collaborate with various central teams including analytics, data science, data governance, and BI delivery teams to progress key Skywards analytics objectives.
- Leverage the analytics working group comprising business nominees to influence department-level decisions and outcomes.
- Upskill the wider business user community in the use of analytics leveraging formal learning and development levers, including online learning, bootcamps, coaching clinics, conferences etc.
- Manage, coach, develop and motivate team members, ensuring they understand their objectives and have the necessary skills to execute their role effectively.
