Role Specific Details
This position is based in Honolulu.
Role Summary
The Social Media Marketing Manager is a subject matter expert of Hawaiian Airlines social media strategy through end-to-end ownership and management. This individual contributor exercises considerable judgement to make decisions in creative development, messaging strategy, cross-functional prioritization, scheduling and implementation. This role is responsible for leveraging our social channels to increase brand, revenue and audience engagement metrics. In addition, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in the design of social marketing campaigns.
Key Duties
Acts as a subject matter expert in planning, executing, and optimizing messages and creative placements across social channels with a 12-month marketing calendar.
With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgement to make decisions in message creation and placement throughout social channels to drive increases in brand metrics, revenue, and increased engagement.
Makes recommendations to marketing leadership on message priorities based on business needs, historical performance and audience engagement.
Responsible for briefing studio resources, ensuring accuracy of messaging, stakeholder input and approvals.
Accountable for achieving annual social channel goals of growing platform strength including content optimization and engagement.
With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgement regarding content creation, partnerships.
Creative strategy owner, ensuring all content developed across teams is on trend and optimized for each platform to communicate the right message, to the right audience, at the right time to reach channel performance goals.
Owns strategic content calendar, including content publishing and channel placement recommendations and tradeoffs based on business priorities.
Collaborates with agencies and cross-functional teams to optimize synergies between paid & organic campaigns.
Responsible for setting channel performance goals and building frameworks for accountability, including regular reporting of results and insights across internal teams.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
4 years of experience in marketing or related area.
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing, communications or a related discipline, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Strong written communications skills.
Strong decision-making skills.
Self-starter who takes initiative to leverage culturally relevant opportunities.
Ability to articulate the relevant message to consumers in a concise manner.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Travel industry experience.
Proficiency with website analytics.
Experience using social analytics platforms.

Salary Range
$86,400 -- $129,600 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
