Reports to: Senior Solution Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Capture and communicate business direction, challenges and requirements
- Suggest practical ideas to enhance business performance
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and architects to design and develop optimal technical solutions
- Plan, design, develop, implement, and support IT products and applications to meet customer needs
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to standard Cathay IT practices
- Responsible for application maintenance and striving for continuous improvements within the application lifecycle
- Test all aspects of solutions, including security, performance, and integration
- Manage external 3rd parties as required
- Coach Solution Analysts on any aspect of their role
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with hands-on solution delivery experience in large scale projects
- Client facing experience with successful relationship management is a plus
- Proven verbal and written communication skill
- Professional, passionate, innovative, self-motivated and able to present solutions to diverse groups of stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity based on facts
- Proven troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
- Airline or travel industry knowledge is highly beneficial
- Hands-on with JavaScript (JS) and TypeScript (TS)
- Proficient in React (class-based and functional components)
- Skilled in system integration (web services, SOAP, REST, JSON, APIs, XML)
- Backend expertise in Java and Node.js
- Experience with Tableau is an advantage
