As a Business Development Manager, youll meet with customers, facilitate new business opportunities, and develop and execute capture strategies. Youll oversee market assessment, monitor market activity, identify customer needs, and provide assistance for new product development planning activities. Your duties will also include assessing program opportunities against target market, core proficiency, revenue potential, company ability, and projected business forecasts.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. https://www.sncorp.com/company/business-areas/

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Business Development for the AE-4500 product line, meeting strategic goals of 20 year over year growth
  • Leverage established relationships, opening new markets for the AE-4500 product lin
  • Support the growth of the AE-4500 product line into the US Reserve & Guard (air, ground and sea)
  • Support Product Line improvements and updates by implementing market demand requirements
  • Travel internationally support an increased demand/new customers for AE-4500 product line
  • Understand the entire SNC portfolio of products to include in offerings - help to break down barriers for other product lines in the Business Area (specifically, TRAX, HLT and Communication Systems)
  • Leverage relationships within SNC and personal experience to open more countries to our product lines

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field of study
    • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Advanced knowledge of US Department of Defense Military programs or Civil Space services, and acquisition procedure
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and operations concepts and interpret, translate, and explain detailed technical ideas to technical and non-technical audience
  • Progressive experience with technical marketing, proposal development, and program management or engineering design
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Typically 6-8 years of relevant experience
    • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Experience in Business Development
  • Exposure to proposal coordination activities to ensure proposals are staffed and supported to achieve success
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, emphasizing rapid fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military
