Key Responsibilities:

The role of a Senior Manager of Application Architecture and Platform Operations involves overseeing the strategic design and implementation of software applications and platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring that the application architecture meets the business requirements and performance goals. The Senior Manager leads the operations team to maintain the health and efficiency of the platform, while also managing the full lifecycle of application architecture, from inception and design to deployment, operations, and continuous improvement. They work closely with various stakeholders to align architecture with business strategy, and they play a key role in decision-making regarding technology solutions.

  • Develop and align architecture with organizational initiatives, goals, and objectives, providing strategic direction on technology trends and innovations such as Cloud, Data, AI, API.
  • Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and guidelines across all teams, focusing on enhancing DevOps practices and API management, with a specific emphasis on improving code build, deployment, automated testing, configuration management, observability, and quality
  • Define and implement API management strategies to ensure scalability and reusability of integrations, embedding architecture assessments into the portfolio intake process for new initiatives
  • Enable team members across all teams to design solutions that meet business needs and align with overall enterprise architecture, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistency and coherence in solution designs, leveraging architecture boards and other governance mechanisms
  • Develop a comprehensive technology roadmap outlining the evolution of architecture over time, evaluating and recommending new technologies that align with business needs and piloting new tech to determine applicability
  • Review architectural risks and security threats, providing mitigation strategies and guidance on best practices, particularly in data architecture, including principles and standards for managing integration and interoperability of data across different systems and teams
  • Stay informed about best practices in software development and operational excellence through blogs, networking, and industry forums, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Evaluate vendor solutions and assess their alignment with enterprise architecture, ensuring they meet organizational requirements and standards

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 4 years of experience in managing architecture and DevOps teams
  • Experience in managing the architecture and DevOps of key applications, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability
  • Proficient in modern design patterns, application modernization and API management
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS), DevOps Practices, and container orchestration, and CI/CD
  • Skilled in designing scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and using data-driven decision making
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate across department
  • Extensive experience with .NET framework, .NET Core, C, and building scalable, high performance applications
  • Proficient in relational and non-relational databases, data governance, and data integration strategies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $137,275.00 to $187,000.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
