Job Description SummaryAs the Digital Technology (DT) Site Leader (DTSL) you will be responsible for managing information technology for a manufacturing plant located in Bohemia, NY and its sister site located in Pompano Beach, FL. You will be responsible for all IT infrastructure & software applications necessary for shop operations. As the Site IT leader, you will be responsible for performance & availability of IT infrastructure & applications as well as partner with the business on any IT needs. In addition, you will work on site related projects in coordination with the broader DT organization.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Develop and execute roadmap to drive digital improvements across IT infrastructure & application landscape of the site.
  • Perform as part of the site leadership team representing information technology.
  • Ensure IT issue resolution and act as the escalation point for all site IT activities including help desk support issues following established ITIL processes.
  • Partner with the business to participate in lean/process improvement initiatives & enable business transformation leveraging digital tools.
  • Lead/Represent the site in the evaluation/implementation/modification of various software solutions, including ERP, MES & Analytics solutions.
  • Be familiar with all business applications and the digital product catalog in use at the site and have awareness of overall business flow.
  • Proactively monitor network performance (WAN / LAN / WLAN) and escalate issues.
  • Build relationships with Central DT product teams for quicker resolution of networking and application issues.
  • Work with central digital product teams to resolve systemic recurring issues or enhancement needs.
  • Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts.
  • Partner with the broader cyber organization to ensure compliance with established cyber policies and respond to cybersecurity threats.
  • Manage and coordinate all Digital Workspace technology.
  • Support all printers, MFPs, on-site A/V and telecommunications equipment.
  • Manage and coordinate the deployment and support of shop floor PCs.
  • Participate in lean, cost savings & technology obsolescence projects.
  • Escalate DT issues that are affecting site production & provide on call support as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT, IT Operations preferred.

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Note: The salary range for this position is $110,700- $184,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.

Desired Skills:

  • Broad knowledge of IT disciplines including compute, network and storage
  • Experience working IT in a manufacturing or shop environment.
  • Experienced in design, performance, availability, and scalability of the infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean principles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team/product operations within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated customer focus – manages technical issues in complex, difficult, or stressful situations; evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong. customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint.
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating effort.
