The role: Strategic Maintenance Planning Manager

Are you prepared to launch into a dynamic career where meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving are paramount?

Were seeking a talented individual to lead our Strategic Maintenance Planning Team. You will orchestrate the development of long-term scheduled maintenance strategies, working closely with our colleagues in Fleet and Network Planning, CAMO and IAG Procurement. The result of which will deliver compliant efficient maintenance plans which improve aircraft uptime.

What you’ll do:

Forge collaborative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to optimally implement the strategic maintenance plan which supports BA’s key performance metrics.

Encourage and manage a team of Strategic Planning Engineers to develop the scheduled maintenance plan that meets compliance requirements whilst balancing cost and delivery.

Implement detailed governance measures, collaborating closely with our Procurement team to align our suppliers with our core values of Quality, Delivery, People, Finance, and Sustainability.

Lead negotiations for a streamlined de-scheduling plan with the airline to optimise maintenance operations, allowing our Engineering team to efficiently execute the plan and ensure maximum aircraft availability and reliability for our operation.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Your extensive background in aircraft maintenance planning, proven leadership abilities, adept decision-making skills and unwavering dedication to teamwork are invaluable assets that will enable us to cultivate a cohesive Engineering team world-class for its integrity and unwavering dedication to ensuring a safe and balanced operation.

Your experience:

An appropriate qualification or equivalent experience.

You should have detailed knowledge of engineering planning processes and procedures and a general knowledge of engineering and CAMO processes and procedures.

Proven understanding of CAA Part-M and Part-145 regulations.
