Position Summary
The Supervisor Aircraft Records is responsible for maintaining a system of records to ensure proper time control and historical data for airframes, engines, and other components. The Supervisor is an innovative and technical individual, with exceptional business judgment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for guiding the Records Coordinators in maintaining a system of records that will ensure the availability of proper time control and substantiate historical data for all Airframes, Engines and components, accessories, appliances, Airworthiness Directives, Engineering Orders and Fleet campaign Directives
- Assist with modifying the policies and procedures for the Records Department in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
- Conduct random auditing for the work completed by the Records Coordinators
- Provide guidance, assistance and training with other internal departments regarding the retention records database
- Ensure proper support is provided to external agencies and/or departments with any requests regarding the aircraft technical records
- Responsible for assisting Quality Assurance (QA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) during an internal and external records audit
- Assist in improving the scanning system for records, performing optical character recognition and indexing the records for archiving and reference retrieval
- Other duties as assigned
