Position Title: Supervisor Resource Allocation (Ground Operations)

 

Position Summary:

The Supervisor Resource Allocation is involved in the management of Crewmember assignment scheduling and forecasting, monitoring fluctuating Airport Operations (AO)/Ground Operations (GO) Customer/Bag volumes and metrics, forecasting future volumes, building and executing on staffing models, and analyzing and reporting on trends. The Supervisor seeks ways to improve efficiency through active involvement in process improvement initiatives. The Supervisor monitors daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports on historical and current AO/GO data.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and oversee the Inform GS RealTime system to ensure proper assignment of tasks to AO and GO Crewmembers
  • Troubleshoots and resolves task assignment issues in real-time
  • Identifies hourly risks or areas of additional efficiency opportunities
  • Continually monitor inbound and outbound flight activity
  • Monitor baggage and passenger counts to ensure AO and GO teams are properly resourced
  • Work closely with the administrative team to maintain effective communication and share insights on operational issues and staffing impacts
  • Work with Crewmembers from other teams on organizational initiatives
  • Other front-line supervisory duties, as assigned 

 

Job Requirements:
:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Three (3) years of analytical experience
  • Two (2) years of airport experience
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain SIDA Badge
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems
  • Effective research skills including the ability to analyze information, make determinations, and issue reports in accordance with Company guidelines
  • Present for core hours but may increase based on fluctuating workload demands
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Flexible and able to work at any time, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of industry experience
  • One (1) year of Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Workforce Management Systems, specifically Inform GS RealTime
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Passionate about providing excellent service to fellow Crewmembers and Customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and strategic time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a high pressure team environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to rapidly resolve complex customer service issues 
  • Available for occasional overnight travel

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
