What Will You Be Doing?

Supervise Crew Scheduling personnel and functions in accordance with government regulations, Frontier company policy and established Pilot and FA Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA). Provide leadership, direction and training to Crew Scheduling staff. Assist Crew Schedulers, employees and crewmembers as needed with operational and administrative task work. Support and assist the Manager, Crew Scheduling with staffing planning and other projects / duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that qualified, legal crews are maintained on all trips once trip has embarked from the crews home domicile.
  • Act as Crew Coordinator to maintain surveillance of each trip and reschedule crews according to their qualifications, contractual restrictions, governmental requirements and most economical reschedules.
  • Identify opportunities for process/policy improvement. Determine and pursue action essential to affecting change and a desired outcome.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and training support to Crew Schedulers.
  • Assume overall responsibility for crew scheduling operation in the absence of Crew Resources management.
  • Coordinate with SOC, Dispatch, Flight Operations, In-Flight and other departments as needed to provide operational and administrative support.
  • Provide counseling and performance management to Crew Schedulers. Ensure necessary documentation is provided and maintained.
  • Check daily assignments and reschedule crew members because of legality or sickness and notify crews of assignments.
  • Maintain daily crew assignments, check-in records and records of crew time and projections.
  • Process monthly pilot transition.
  • Maintain user access and security compliance for CrewTrac CMS.
  • Work directly with vendor to resolve any CrewTrac or FLiCA automation problems.
  • Ensure all CrewTrac and FLiCA processes are made available to crewmembers and completed in accordance with Pilot and FA CBAs.
  • Work to resolve scheduling discrepancies and crewmember complaints elevated from Crew Schedulers.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for crew scheduling desk at all times. Anticipate and provide additional staffing during periods of irregular operations or other circumstances that require additional support.
  • Custodian responsible to document and maintain CrewTrac and FLiCA user status.
  • Assume management responsibility in the absence of the Manager, Crew Scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in aviation, management, business or related field preferred; combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Two years of Crew Scheduling experience preferred, including minimum of 1 year in Crew Scheduler position
  • Aviation course work highly preferred
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in all areas of crew scheduling including irregular operations, crew vacation, transition, open time, bid closing, vacation relief and all computer systems. Must be a technical expert on all crew scheduling computer programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies & procedures, Pilot and Flight Attendant CBAs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of crew scheduling
  • Ability to maintain professional telephone etiquette at all times
  • Developed communication and training skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse work group
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure

Work Environment

Shift work – supervisor presence REQUIRED for AM and PM shift coverage. May require working on day(s) off to provide relief coverage.
