The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Supplier Readiness (Level K) to join our dynamic team in St. Louis City, MO; Ridley Park, PA; Huntsville, AL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Supply Base Management Specialist employees performing activities related to supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations. Monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Provides oversight, guidance and approval of supply base plans to ensure integration with customer, program and commodity strategies. Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Manage geographically dispersed diverse team members. Assists team members in developing plans and monitors suppliers performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements related to the work movements
  • Execute work movements, Scope, Schedule & Risk, Issues and Opportunities management, regular monitoring, control and lessons learned and hand off to operations and close-out
  • Overall improvement of supplier’s readiness and Operations health through Production Readiness assessments (PRA) process. Develop and follow through on actions to mitigate risks and improve performance. Develop and monitor suppliers score card
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improve existing processes to enhance internal teams and supplier’s ability to produce and improve first time quality and on time delivery metrics.
  • Learn and practice applicable Boeing policies and procedures
  • Leads efforts to establish executable plans, ensure performance to plan, mitigate risk and resolve supply chain issues (technical or non-technical) associated with work movement, and Production readiness assessments, partnering with key suppliers and Supply Chain partners to drive quality and on-time parts delivery.
  • Engages suppliers and provides technical assistance in areas such as manufacturing, planning, and requirements interpretation to ensure delivery schedule compliance and product conformity. Monitors metrics and manages work movements through a gated process and ensures process compliance.
  • Communicates with internal customers and stakeholders i.e. procurement agents, suppliers, field quality, field operations, engineering and manufacturing to report work movement status, risks and help needed.
  • Contribute positively on-site supplier assessments to validate transition and delivery plans, identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement, and support Boeing procurement strategy associated with the work movement.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 3 years’ experience technical management of suppliers/vendors
  • More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action
  • More than 5 years of experience do you have in supplier management, procurement, supply chain, negotiations, industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Masters’ degree or higher
  • Technical project/program management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in managing teams who are executing work movements
  • Any certifications required: Project Management preferred

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25 of the time.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Pay range: $111,350 - $161,000
