POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Director of Procurement FLSA STATUS: Exempt POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Supervisor will source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the Aviation Industry. They will compile and analyze statistical data to help determine prospects of buying products and to help establish price objectives. This position will also supervise stores clerks.
The Supply Chain Supervisor will require that all new implemented processes are in line with the company’s overarching strategy, mission and vision of becoming a pioneer in the aviation eco-system by leveraging latest technology trends/innovation strategies available, as well as demonstrated best practices to achieve operational excellence
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises store clerks
- Provide adequate material support to the entire company
- Establish and adhere to property inventory management practices.
- Ensure that company and regulatory requirements are being adhered to in the Materials Department with regard to:
- Tool Calibration
- Receiving inspection
- Material handling
- Hazmat shipping
- Parts issuing
- Parts storage
- Scrap parts
- Ensure timely responses are provided to all requests from the stock room
- Maintain inventory with appropriate levels
- Forecast parts requirements
- Ensure that inventory and materials have proper certification and inventory tags.
- Monitor the Shelf Life programs
- Hazmat shipping
- Ensure that all calibration tools are properly stored and accounted for
- Be constantly aware of industry changes and the availability of alternate sources of materials and cost saving items.
- Establish and maintain good housekeeping practices of all assigned areas.
- Maintain security measures to provide optimum control of the inventory under their control.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous stores related experience
- Ability to learn and adhere to the Companys General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and 14 CFR Parts 43, and 135 Regulations.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for Maintenance Stores
Qualifications Education:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Professional certification in a plus.
Work Experience:
- Prior experience in the airline industry a plus.
- Prefer at least three (3) years in a stores management role.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Computer, phone skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
- Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by airline regulations and company policies.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
Physical requirements:
- Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a normal office environment.
- Must be able to communicate through verbal, written, and electronic means.
- Must be able to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying height.
- Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
