Norwegian is looking for a Technical Supply Chain Manager who, together with your team, will be responsible for class-leading executuing of Material Requirement Planning.

You will encompass inventory, procurement, logistics and demand for all parts required for smooth operational maintenance of Norwegian`s fleet of aircraft. You will lead a procurement team with a culture for continuous improvement, maintaining budgetary responsibility, and top-notch KPI performance.

The Technical Supply Chain Manager role is locted at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and reports to Director Planning.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

    • Experience within purchasing, supply chain or logistics.
    • Bachler or Master’s degree in relevant area, preferably within logistic or technical, experience may compensate for lack of education
    • Very good communication skills both oral and written in English
    • Ability to delegate and have the oversight of multiple projects
    • Technical know-how and analytical capability to establish vital supplier know-how is a plus.
    • Use a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead, define clear priorities and allocate resources effectively.
    • Experience from the digitization of processes and newer software in the supply chain is an advantage.

In this role you will be responsible for:

You will be accountable for a broad range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Directly responsible for leading and developing a procurement team of 15 professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure that the team is motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the departments strategic goals.
  • Budget Management: Take full responsibility for the budget of the Technical Supply Chain department, including procurement. This includes forecasting, monitoring, and controlling expenditures to ensure the department operates within financial targets.
  • Strategic Procurement Oversight: Oversee all procurement activities, ensuring the efficient and effective sourcing of materials and services. Implement strategies that optimize costs, improve supplier relationships, and enhance the overall supply chain performance.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations for the procurement team and regularly assess their progress. Provide coaching and support to ensure that individual and team KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Financial Accountability: Ensure that all procurement activities contribute to the departments financial objectives, working closely with finance teams to report on budget performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet the organizations standards for quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. Regularly review supplier performance and negotiate contracts to achieve the best possible terms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain close collaboration with other departments such as Planning, Projects, Engineering, and MRO, ensuring that procurement processes support the overall business objectives.
