Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance Systems Management, the Compliance Systems Management Technician is responsible for the security and configuration control of aircraft loadable software parts. They are responsible for the creation, monitoring, and management of aircraft time controls and compliances within the maintenance tracking systems. They are responsible for the regulatory systems to ensure tracking, compliance, and reporting of FAA and OEM mandatory directives and bulletins. Also includes 787 unique items such as e-Enabling and Loadable Software Aircraft Parts Library.
This position may be required to promptly respond after hours (24/7). Must be able to travel, work flexible hours, and work beyond regular hours, including weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Follows strict processes and controls to ensure the configuration control and security of aircraft Loadable Software Parts.
- Carry out the retrieval, the storage (library), and the distribution of aircraft Loadable Software Parts.
- Act as a Loadable Software Aircraft Parts Management Librarian (LSAPL).
- Support maintenance with the distribution of Loadable Software Parts and help investigate configuration or system errors.
- Researches and makes the necessary entries or updates to the maintenance tracking system (TRAX) related to software parts for aircraft configuration, effectivity, and applicability, using aircraft approved substantiating data.
- Review and update time-controlled components in the maintenance tracking system, assuring all OEM, CMM, and Maintenance Program requirements are upheld, such as Life Limited Parts (LLP) and Hard Time components (HT).
- Prepare, create, and review builds of incoming and outgoing major components, in accordance with last shop visits, into the maintenance tracking system (TRAX).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Receiving Inspection transaction in HAs M&E IT System.
- Accomplish in a timely manner the updating of time-controlled components and compliances in the maintenance tracking system (TRAX) in support of the Receiving Inspection process.
- Monitor, support, and correct errors in HAs M&E IT System for controls and compliances updated during the Receiving Inspection process.
- Coordinate and document the review of OEM/vendor SBs and SLs with Engineering to determine if applicable procedures should be implemented.
- Maintain an accurate log of ADs, SBs, AOTs, Operator Bulletins and Alerts - including tracking and recording final disposition for each.
- Monitor and report back to OEM the completion of OEM/vendor SBs and SLs.
- Administers the AD Coordination / Technical Review Group (TRG) meeting with key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained (monthly). Meeting subject includes but is not limited to airworthiness directives (AD), original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and vendor service bulletins (SB), service letters (SL), alert operators transmissions (AOT) and notice of proposed rulemakings (NPRM) documents.
- Maintain minutes and accurate log of all dispositions from the TRG/AD meeting.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Manager – Compliance Systems Management
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree, or 2-year certificate in a related field of study from an accredited University or Community College, or A&P license.
- Experience in the use of aircraft maintenance and specification documents.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
- Able to possess an AOA badge
- Good organizational and prioritization skills, and a demonstrated ability to act as an effective change agent
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to summarize complex technical matters. Must be able to confidently and professionally represent Hawaiian to members of federal authorities and industry
- This position is considered as an essential worker, required to work on-site to support Tech Ops and available for field assignments as required

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidates experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $73,700- $96,600.
