Position Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse associates. Perform a variety of distribution activities including shipping, receiving, material handling, put away and inventory.

Responsibilities

  1. Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
  2. Able to work in all areas of distribution. 
  3. Ability to communicate to freight carriers to scheduling outbound shipments. 
  4. Receives incoming materials and ships outgoing product/materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of inventory and product.
  5. Picks and routes items to specified departments. Properly and safely handles and moves materials throughout the facility to meet production demands and customer delivery expectations.
  6. Assists in putting received product away in the assigned location with the proper labeling.
  7. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  8. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  9. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  10. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  11. Operates tier lift truck or uses handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  12. Assists in inventory control processes.
  13. Maintains Team Improvement Board.
  14. Provides input on employees for performance assessment purposes.
  15. Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:          

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Associates degree in Business or Operations preferred.

EXPERIENCE:        

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse role preferred.
  • Full knowledge of all areas within the warehouse.
  • Fluent in using Parker problem solving tools.

 

SKILLS:        

  • Previous forklift experience and training required.
  • Knowledge of order processing systems.
  • Computer skills including MS Office and ability to learn Parker business systems.
  • Flexibility in working hours – willing to work any hours needed and overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to report out in front of large groups (ie. Board Review, Communication Meeting, Kaizen Report Out).
  • Ability to lead and manage projects with minimal assistance.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.

Pay Rate: $23.50 - $25
