Job Title: 1st and 2nd shift Soldering Technicians (multiple openings)Job DescriptionPerform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed work. Perform quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Responsibilities
- Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering and perform post re-flow inspection and touch-up.
- Able to identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts / leads, tombstoned and or billboarded components and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.
- Familiar with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand what are false calls vs. real calls or issues
Essential Skills- 5 years or more experience in the following:
- IPC-610 Certification or training
- Soldering experience
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong mechanical build experience accurately interpreting written work instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams
- Experience in an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) environment
- Looking for extraordinary solder skills and experience using re-work equipment and has experience with surface mount components.

Work Environment
Work in a clean and organized manufacturing facility that emphasizes safety. The facility is climate controlled, air-conditioned, and well spaced out, allowing employees their own work stations. Hours for 1st shift are 5:00am - 3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:30pm - 2am Monday - Thursday with Fridays/Weekends scheduled off.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
