Job Summary

Are you ready to add Project Management to your skill set? Are you ready to use your technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to learn how to lead projects and teams? We have an intern opening in Project Management in support of the Germany and Netherlands Patriot Program Area. You will gain exposure to the skills required to manage programs through the product life cycle from proposal through post-delivery support.

As a Project Management intern, you will acquire an understanding of what is required to be the Project interface and drive overall program performance including the use of technical, financial and schedule metrics and various project management methodologies.  You will help to ensure programs meet customer objectives by working closely with other functions to support rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communication skills. You will work in a results-based culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

You will experience problem-solving techniques as you work closely and learn from other program management leads in a collaborative team environment. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable program-level experience and exposure for candidates seeking to grow their career in Project Management.

Responsibilities to Anticipate: 

  • Participate in program reviews, meetings, internal handoffs, and customer meetings
  • Interface with functional leads to support cross team collaboration
  • Support the proposal development process for new contracts
  • Support the program management team in the resolution of issues
  • Review and analyze key program metrics and drive corrective actions as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore by the start of summer 2025 and pursuing a major in Engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Pursuing a Masters degree in field of Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Ability to build effective relationships through partnering and collaboration
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic and challenging, team-oriented environment

Location Information:

  • Tewksbury, MA
  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
