Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) program and contingently hiring for an AH 64E Standardization Instructor Pilot – (this is a NON-FLYING position) who will reinforce India’s defense / threat capabilities concerning their recent purchase of AH-64Ev6 Apache Attack Helicopters.

Operations will be conducted at the Apache Unit at Jodhpur Army Base, state of Rajasthan, India.

Execution of training - between 15 January 2024 (tentative) to 14 January 2025

One option year of performance from 15 January 2025 to 14 January 2026.

SATMO Will Require All Pilots to Prove Their Qualifications with a Submittal of a DD214 and DA759 with all Coordinating Certificates

This is a full-time position with full benefits.

Rotations are flexible and can be accommodated in coordination with the training schedule.

All living expenses - flights, cars, housing will be paid for by MAG

Signature of a Letter of Intent will be required and you will 100 be provided the first right of refusal to accept this position if MAG is awarded the contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as the TAFT Instructor Pilot and the Senior TAFT Adviser for unit training, standardization, and AH-64E tactical employment.
  • Provide ground training mentor-ship to IAs Pilots / Instructor Pilots.
  • Provide contractor prepared training for: - systems academics - simulator support - operation of installed mission equipment.
  • Provide contractor prepared training for: aircraft & team tactical employment system sustainment under day – night - night systems - enclosed cockpit - simulated instrument - simulated combat conditions.
  • Manage the teams internal standardization and crewmember training sustainment program (similar to Commanders Aircrew Training Program).
  • Responsible for IAs maintenance and certification of air crewmember training folders; monitoring of currency, medical, and proficiency requirements as incorporated and executed by IAs internal procedures.
Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Served in US Military
  • 3000 total rotary flight hours.
  • 2000 cumulative AH-64D/E hours.
  • 1000 hours cumulative as an AH-64D/E Instructor Pilot.
  • Must have SIP at company/battalion level or higher experience.

Certifications / Ratings:

  • Must be previously qualified as a US Army AH-64E Standardization Instructor Pilot (SIP)
  • Must be rated in the AH-64E.
  • Must be qualified in the AH-64Ev4

Other Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Passport.
  • Must possess or be capable of obtaining an India Visa.
  • Must provide proof of the following:
  • Military Service, (DD Form 214).
  • Aircraft Experience and Flight Hours, (DA Form 759, Logbooks).
  • Aircraft Qualification Course Certificate, (AH-64 E).
  • Standardization Instructor Pilot Course Certificate, (AH-64 E).
  • (Other), Aviation Certificates of Training and Qualifications.
  • Desired (not required) Experience as an Aviation Tactical Operations Officer, Safety Officer, an Instrument Examiner Qualification.
  • Desired (not required) Qualification in AH-64Ev6
  • Desired (not required) Previous Security Assistance Team experience
  • Desired (not required) Previous experience as an aviation Master Gunner
