MISSION :

In the Flight Physics department of Engineering, in the “Aircraft & Engine Models Development” group, ATR is looking for a Performance Models engineer. As such, you will participate to modelization and development missions in the domain of performance for aircraft and propulsion. You will ensure that ATR achieves states of the art computation tools and way of working with them, supporting flight testing, Certification, in-Service analysis and training, projects and preliminary design activities.

You have a good team spirit, you like programming, modelling and A/C level simulations, you have you are interested by working on various technical topics related to flight Physics... this job is made for you.

ACTIVITIES
  • Develop aircraft and propulsion performance models, using computer development tools adapted to your discipline and define the activities that will make it possible to respond to the issues raised.

  • Actively participate in the maintenance and evolution of performance models.

  • Be involved in future ATR projects (EVO):

    • Define and perform performance models evolutions for new projects.

    • Explore and define technical solutions available for an ATR electronic AFM (DO 178C)

    • Support preliminary design team

  • Produce with care and accuracy the technical deliverables resulting from its activities, and those of external actors (partners, subcontracting, etc.).

  • Ensure expertise on performance models (aircraft and propulsion).

  • Be involved in the development and sustaining on “in House” flight physics tools.

  • Support demonstrations and identification with flight tests, for aircraft evolutions and new projects.

  • Be the interface with Aircraft Performance group

  • Ensure a back-office support on performance models.

  • Ensure training and support for internal users.

PROFILE

  • Initial formation: Engineer with aeronautical profile

  • Technical skills:

    • 10 years’ experience on Aircraft performance modeling activities.

    • Skills in development are required (Windows, GISEH, Fortran, Python, C, C&43;&43;). Autonomy for programming is required.

    • Good knowledge of regulation constraints for performance computing is required.

    • Knowledge on DO 178C and ETSO process would be preferable.

    • Knowledge of configuration management softwares (SVN/GIT) would be a plus

  • Language  skills: English

  • IT skills: Windows, Linux, Fortran, C, SVN, Pack office.

  • Soft skills: team working. Ability to communicate internally (Engineering, program, support), and externally (customer, partners, sub-contractors).
