Role Summary & Impact
As an Advanced Operator Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for completing rework and outstanding work while also mentoring and training other technicians. This is a unique opportunity for professional development in a technical career path—separate from team lead responsibilities—that allows you to sharpen your skills and contribute directly to aircraft production and recovery efforts. Your work will be critical to ensuring that the assembly lines run smoothly, meeting both quality standards and production targets.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Rework & Repair: Address and resolve rework of RNCs (Rejected Non-Conformances) and plant liabilities, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and meets production requirements.
Team Support: Fill in for missing operators and collaborate with your team to meet daily targets and the overall build plan.
Recovery Efforts: Perform work supporting recovery efforts for OSW (Outstanding Work), making sure to recover negative hours and minimize line stoppages.
Training & Mentoring: Share your knowledge with less experienced technicians, offering guidance and helping them develop their skills in areas like mechanics, avionics, and systems.
Quality & Precision: Ensure all work meets the high standards set by the company, following precise instructions to ensure the quality and safety of the aircraft being assembled.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Completed vocational training in Mechanics, Systems, Avionics, or Electrical.
Minimum of 2 years of aircraft experience within the last 5 years.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in an aircraft manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical, electrical, or avionics knowledge.
Ability to mentor and train others to foster skill development.

Pay Details: $24.75 per hour
