Key Responsibilities:

The Architect – Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity supports efforts to mature OT security capabilities for United Airlines. In this role the Architect will work on the creation and maintenance of security relevant documentation and partner with product, platform, engineering, and operations teams to ensure the adoption of security standard processes across the OT system lifecycle. The role with help continuously improve our cyber controls and associated playbooks, workflows, processes, and procedures.

  • Execution of operational technology cybersecurity program (perform risk assessments, threat modeling, controls definition and implementation, verification activities, etc.)
  • OT security tool technical development, process development, and upkeep
  • Serve as supporting technical point of contact for development teams as it relates to operational technology and remediation guidance
  • Support key operational technology security initiatives in accordance with the operational technology roadmap, including analysis and preparation of communication materials to tell the story to key business partners
  • Assist with review and updates of documentation for company processes, policies, and standards.
  • Support security incident response and defect remediation

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • 1+ years of technical experience directly related to OT
  • Experience with information security principles, practices, technologies, programs and procedures, accompanied by an understanding of risk management methodologies
  • Fundamental understanding of IT and OT network communication protocols
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Masters degree
  • Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, Cybersecurity
  • 7+ years of technical experience, 5 years directly related to OT and Security
