Job Title: Automotive Technician Job Description
A leading manufacturer of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment and a Premier Service Provider is currently seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic. This role involves performing preventative maintenance repairs, diagnosing, and repairing various systems on Ground Support Equipment. Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems from schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs on vehicles
- Conduct light and heavy repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and repair engine mechanical issues (Diesel, gas, and LP)
- Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics
- Work with Generators 400 Hz and 28 volts
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
- Read and interpret hydraulic flow schematics
- Utilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems
- Repair 80 & 48 volt DC systems
- Troubleshoot and repair Airstart systems
- Continue ongoing training to gain knowledge of the equipment
- Maintain required productivity levels
- Accurately complete vehicle repair orders in a timely manner
Essential Skills- Strong knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must provide own hand tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 3-10 years of prior automotive/diesel mechanic experience
- Vocational training certificate or equivalent in work experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to obtain an airport-issued ID badge

Work Environment
This position is based at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Candidates must have the ability to obtain an airport badge. There are openings are on 2nd shifts, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
