Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for Boeing Tactical Instructors to work at Wattisham Airfield, (Suffolk) UK.
BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to UK defence customers, including many training services. This is an exciting time to become part of our growing team as we enhance our Training Capability for the Apache AH-64E helicopter.
In this role, you will deliver Apache AH-64E weapons and electronic warfare training to BDUK’s military aircrew customer, directly supporting the Military Synthetic Training Instructors. You will be responsible for the daily delivery of customer training within the new state of the art Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) simulators. All AH-64E simulator conversion trainings will be provided and tailored to the successful candidate needs and can include both technical and/or instructor development training.
In this position you will be required to work ‘early’ and ‘late’ work routines of eight-hour duration to cover an extended working day of 07:00 to 21:45 hrs. You will also be required to support military exercises, with a maximum of ten working days per annum working away from the Wattisham site within mainland United Kingdom.

Position Responsibilities:
Conduct instructional sorties on the AH-64E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) including:
Pre sortie briefing
Post sortie debriefing plus report writing
Post sortie administrative actions
Gain and maintain proficiency in the LCT and associated systems
Development of tactical synthetic training scenarios
Assistance in the delivery of synthetic tactical scenarios
Management and design of Electronic Warfare Mission Data
Delivery of Range Safety Test and Annual Weapons Test
Delivery of Range Conducting Officer and Range Conducting Officer (Instructor) courses
Delivery of Airborne Forward Air Controller (AbFAC) training (ground and synthetic)
Delivery of vehicle recognition training
Conduct reviews and development of courseware
Maintaining a high level of proficiency in instructional methods, and knowledge of aircraft systems
Understanding the basic concepts of military manuals, standards, engineering data and related documentation
Developing solutions, in collaboration with other team members and in accordance with established procedure and policies/guidelines. Implements endorsed changes as directed
Pursuing continuous process improvements
Demonstrating and championing the Boeing Values

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Preferred Qualification (Desired but non-essential Skills/Experience):
Recent AH-64E experience is highly desirable however applications from Mk1 Apache or non-Apache pilots with recent instructional, or synthetic training experience will also be considered
General instructor experience in academic and theoretical topics is also highly desirable
Experience of synthetic training is beneficial
