Safran Aircraft Engines designs, produces, and sells, alone or in partnership, commercial and military aircraft engines offering world-class performance. Through CFM International*, Safran Aircraft Engines is the worlds leading supplier of engines for single-aisle mainline commercial jets. Safran Aerospace Composites in Rochester, NH is dedicated to the production of 3D woven composite parts, made using the RTM (resin transfer molding) process. The first application of this technology is the production of blades and fan cases for the LEAP (registered tradespan) engine, developed by CFM International, designed to power the next generation of single-aisle aircraft. This technology creates less noise and decreases fuel consumption for aircraft engines, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Position responsible to successfully operate all equipment within the bonding process, either in small parts or large parts. Standard work methods and safe work habits must be followed to ensure conformance to customer requirements.

Job Requirements:

1.\tHigh school diploma or high school equivalency required.
2.\tPrior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
3.\tSuccessful completion of relevant coursework in an accredited advanced manufacturing program may be substituted for experience in a manufacturing setting.
4.\tBasic mechanical aptitude; familiarity with metric system a plus.
5.\tRequires good organization skills and attention to detail.
6.\tCapable of working with epoxy and adhesive materials.
7.\tCapable of producing fine finish work and assembling components accurately.
8.\tExperience with composite materials preferred.
9.\tAbility to participate effectively in a team environment.
10.\tGood written and verbal communication skills.
11.\tBasic computer skills including software data entry and keyboarding.
12.\tKnowledge of and compliance with AS9100C or ISO9001 standards preferred.
13.\tExcellent hand eye coordination including the ability to manipulate small items with speed and accuracy.
14.\tThe employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
15.\tThe employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
16.\tThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
17.\tSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
18.\tPhysically capable of working while wearing a respirator.
