CAP OPERATOR - 3RD SHIFT

Title: Cap Operator

Shift(s): 3rd

Reports To: 620/630 Area Manager

Location: Mentor

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. Additional vocational training/certification preferred.

  • Equivalent background with a minimum of two years casting operations experience

Work Experience:

    Requirements:

    Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record.

    Have strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently.

    Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.

    Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.

    Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.

    Responsibility:

    • The Cap operator must be able to perform operations and operate equipment efficiently in performing duties.

    Specific Duties:

    • Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
    • Perform all clean and cap operations, including but not limited to: clean & cap tasks, mega dip, maintaining all automated equipment, mold prep, dewax, flashfire and special lot expediting.
    • Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering.
    • Record, on a daily basis, all work performed and the correct distribution of the work time identifying same by operational codes.
    • Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, following all safety rules.
    • Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.

    Physical and Mental Demands:

    • Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.
    • The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
    • Must be able to pass a physical, vision, and hearing test.
    • Pass the visual acuity exam.
