Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

A vacancy for an Computer Platform Architect (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join the team “Flight Control Software”. The department is developing safety critical software covering manned and unmanned air vehicles in several programmes like Eurofighter, FCAS and Eurodrone.

The designated candidate will have the responsibility for the development of the safety critical computing platform, which will host application SW from different systems.

• Lead the technical development of the equipment and the platform SW

• Develop SW Product and Development Strategy together with the Management

• Ehance the existing development environment towards state-of- art safety critical development methods and tools

• Identify and bridge the gap towards civil standards depending on project requirements

• Coordinate, align and provide solutions for requirements of system design teams whose applications will be hosted on the system

• Academic degree in Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

• Ability and Experience in leading people

• Several years of experience in the field of IMA system development

• Experience in Project Management (classical and agile) and Supplier Management

• Significant Experience in Requirements Engineering (e.g. DOORS) and Variant Management

• Significant Experience in Systems and Equipment Engineering

• Very good knowledge in Avionics Software Engineering

• Very good knowledge in DO-178C/ED-12C, DO-297/ED-124 , DO-254/ED-80, ARINC 653 and ARP4754A/ED-79A
